Qiyana counters (Jungle)

Common role: Mid

The best counter to Qiyana in Jungle is Rammus: 58.1% win rate over 827 ranked games on patch 26.21.

An elemental empress whose river stun and rock wall ultimate end fights.

What makes Qiyana dangerous

Qiyana enchants her blade with terrain elements — brush stealth, river ROOT, wall bonus damage — dashes twice, and her ultimate shockwaves along walls, stunning everyone near them. Her elemental burst rotation one-shots squishies from brush or river angles.

How to counter Qiyana

• 1Fight AWAY from walls — her ult needs them to stun.
• 2River and brush are her power zones — drag fights to open ground.
• 3Survive one rotation: her cooldowns between combos are real.
• 4Her range is short — poke her out before she reaches elements.

What are Qiyana's weaknesses?

• ✓Element- and terrain-dependent damage.
• ✓Squishy diver with no sustain.
• ✓Walls are her ult; open fields neuter it.
• ✓High mechanical demands punish mistakes.

Abilities & how to counter them

What each of Qiyana's abilities does — and how to play around it.

• P
  Royal Privilege

Qiyana's first basic attack or ability against each enemy deals bonus damage.

Strong: bonus damage on her first hit against each element-refresh. Weak: standard assassin chip — the elements matter more.

• Q
Elemental Wrath / Edge of Ixtal

Qiyana swings her weapon, dealing damage with a bonus effect based on her element.

Strong: element-enchanted slashes — river ROOTS, brush stealths, wall bursts. Weak: each needs its terrain — open ground offers none.

• W
  Terrashape

Qiyana dashes to a location and enchants her weapon with an element. Her attacks and abilities deal bonus damage while her weapon is enchanted.

Strong: dash-to-element weaving keeps her combos rolling. Weak: the hop is short — burst her between element grabs.

• E
  Audacity

Qiyana dashes to an enemy, damaging them.

Strong: a targeted gap-close that glues her to squishies. Weak: point-click but short — stay out of the leap bubble pre-6.

• R
  Supreme Display of Talent

Qiyana sends out a shockwave that detonates whatever elements she hits with it, stunning and damaging nearby enemies.

Strong: a wall-riding shockwave STUN that wins entire fights. Weak: it needs terrain contact — open-field fights disable the button.

Itemization

Open-ground fights, armor + one rotation of patience. Terrain discipline halves her kit.
