What makes Aurora dangerous
Aurora curses with Q and recalls the curse for a second hit, hops into the spirit realm (W) becoming invisible with speed, blasts and hops backward with E, and her ultimate creates a huge slow zone she can teleport across — inside it she's uncatchable, kiting forever. Exorcised spirits heal her constantly.
How to play against Aurora
- 1Save one CC for her W blink — she's visible for a beat before vanishing.
- 2Step OUT of her ult zone: outside it she loses the teleport edges and the kite.
- 3Punish her early mana hunger with sustained trades.
- 4Her heal scales with spirits — burst her before she farms them off your team.
Weaknesses to exploit
- ✓Squishy assassin-mage stats.
- ✓The ult is a fixed zone — fighting outside it removes her advantage.
- ✓W invisibility is short and has a long cooldown.
- ✓Sustained tankiness beats her burst-kite pattern.
Abilities & how to counter them
What each of Aurora's abilities does — and how to play around it.
P
Spirit AbjurationAurora's spells and attacks exorcise spirits from the enemies she damages. Exorcised spirits follow Aurora around and heal her.
Strong: damaged enemies release spirits that heal her constantly. Weak: the heal needs uptime — burst beats her drip sustain.
Q
Twofold HexAurora sends out a missile that curses any enemies it hits. She can then recast the ability to draw active curses back toward herself, damaging foes who are hit along the way.
Strong: a curse that returns for a second hit on recast. Weak: the return telegraphs — sidestep the second tick.
W
Across the VeilAurora leaps in a direction of her choosing, entering the spirit realm upon landing, becoming invisible, and gaining Move Speed for a short duration of time.
Strong: an invisible hop with speed — her ambush and escape. Weak: brief and cooldown-bound — bait it, then lock her down.
E
The WeirdingAurora converges the realms, sending out a blast of spirit magic that damages and slows enemies before Aurora hops backward to safety.
Strong: a slowing blast that hops her backward to safety. Weak: the self-knockback is fixed — cut off her landing spot.
R
Between WorldsAurora leaps in a direction of her choosing, releasing a shockwave that damages and slows any enemies it hits. Afterward, she creates an area that slows enemies within it and allows Aurora to teleport from one side of the area to the other.
Strong: a huge slow zone she teleports across — an inescapable kite pen. Weak: only SHE benefits inside — step out and fight at the rim.
Itemization
Fight outside her ult, hold CC for the W hop, and bring MR + sustain. Don't chase the rabbit through her own zone.
