What makes Lissandra dangerous

Lissandra pokes with shattering ice, roots with slow claws (W is a point-blank AoE root), gap-closes with a re-usable claw dash (E), and her ultimate either entombs YOU for the team kill — or freezes HERSELF untargetable while healing. Anti-assassin and anti-dive in one kit.

How to play against Lissandra

• 1Bait the self-ult before committing — after it she's just a slow mage.
• 2Her E claw travels slowly — punish its flight before she blinks.
• 3Stay out of W range: the point-blank root chains everything.
• 4QSS the entomb on your carry.

  Iceborn Subjugation

  When an enemy champion dies near Lissandra they become a Frozen Thrall. Frozen Thralls slow nearby enemies and then, after a delay, shatter from the intense cold, dealing magic damage to nearby targets.

  Strong: dead enemies become frost mines that slow and burst. Weak: mines are visible — clear the area before walking over corpses.

  Ice Shard

  Throws a spear of ice that shatters when it hits an enemy, dealing magic damage and slowing Move Speed. Shards pass through the target, dealing the same damage to other enemies hit.

  Strong: a shattering slow-poke that clears waves cheaply. Weak: short range for a mage — punish her farming walk-ups.

  Ring of Frost

  Freezes nearby enemies in ice, dealing magic damage and rooting them.

  Strong: a point-blank AoE ROOT — the anti-dive panic button. Weak: tiny radius — poke from just outside it.

• E
  Glacial Path

  Lissandra creates an ice claw that deals magic damage. Reactivating this ability transports Lissandra to the claw's current location.

  Strong: a claw she can re-cast to blink across walls. Weak: the claw travels slowly — punish her before the blink completes.

• R
  Frozen Tomb

  If cast on an enemy champion, the target is frozen solid, stunning it. If cast on Lissandra, she encases herself in dark ice, healing herself while becoming untargetable and invulnerable. Dark ice then emanates from the target dealing magic damage to enemies and slowing Move Speed.

  Strong: entombs YOU for a team kill — or freezes HER untargetable and healing. Weak: the self-cast is bait-able; QSS answers the enemy cast.
