How to beat Kayn

A jungle assassin who transforms into a burst assassin or an unkillable bruiser.

What makes Kayn dangerous

Kayn walks through walls with his E to gank from unexpected angles, and after transforming he becomes either Shadow Assassin (huge burst, resets on kills) or Rhaast (a healing, sustain bruiser with a displacement ult). He's weak early while collecting his form, but a snowballing Kayn takes over the map.

How to play against Kayn

• 1Punish him early before he transforms. Kayn is weak in the first clears — invade, counter-gank and deny him the orbs he needs to power up.
• 2Ward wall-adjacent angles: his E lets him gank through terrain. Deep vision turns his surprise ganks into ones you can dodge.
• 3Vs Shadow Assassin (blue) he's a squishy burst assassin — bring hard CC and a Zhonya's, and don't let him isolate a carry.
• 4Vs Rhaast (red) he's a healing bruiser — buy Grievous Wounds and respect his ult, which displaces and executes based on missing health.

  Kayn wields an ancient weapon and fights Rhaast, the darkin within it, for control.
