Kindred counters (Jungle)

Common role: Jungle

The best counter to Kindred in Jungle is Rammus: 55.1% win rate over 363 ranked games on patch 26.21.

A marksman jungler who hunts marks and denies death itself.

What makes Kindred dangerous

Kindred hunts marked targets and camps to permanently stack range and damage, kites with rolling Q resets, and their ultimate creates a zone where NO ONE can die — friend or foe — healing everyone at its end. Well-stacked Kindred out-duels and out-kites everything.

How to counter Kindred

• 1Deny marks: when your camp or you are marked, play safe — every mark is permanent power.
• 2Fight inside their ult: burst enemies right as it ends, or walk out to finish targets.
• 3Gap-close: Kindred is squishy and folds to sticky divers.
• 4Invade when marks spawn on your side to burn their timers.

What are Kindred's weaknesses?

• ✓Squishy — a caught Kindred without kite room dies fast.
• ✓Mark-dependent scaling: denied marks = weak Kindred.
• ✓The ult saves your targets too — badly timed it wins fights for you.
• ✓Weak objective damage compared to smite junglers.

Abilities & how to counter them

What each of Kindred's abilities does — and how to play around it.

• P
  Mark of the Kindred

Kindred can mark targets to Hunt. Successfully completing a Hunt permanently empowers Kindred's basic abilities. Every 4 hunts completed also increases Kindred's basic attack range.

Strong: hunted marks permanently stack range and damage — infinite scaling. Weak: marks are announced — play safe while marked and deny the stack.

• Q
  Dance of Arrows

Kindred tumbles and shoots up to three arrows at nearby targets.

Strong: a rolling reset that makes her untouchable while kiting. Weak: rolls drain quickly in long chases — force her to burn them, then lock her.

• W
  Wolf's Frenzy

Wolf enrages and attacks enemies around him. Lamb passively gains stacks by moving and attacking. When fully charged, Lamb's next attack restores health.

Strong: Wolf attacks on his own while she kites free. Weak: a fixed zone — step out of it and Wolf stops biting.

• E
  Mounting Dread

Lamb fires a carefully placed shot, slowing the target. If Lamb attacks the target two more times, her third attack instead directs Wolf to pounce on the enemy, savaging them for massive damage.

Strong: a % missing-HP execute on the third hit. Weak: needs three attacks on you — disengage at two stacks.

• R
  Lamb's Respite

Lamb grants all living things inside a zone a respite from death. Until the effect ends, nothing can die. At the end, units are healed.

Strong: NO ONE dies inside the zone; everyone heals at the end. Weak: it protects YOUR team too — dive in, hold burst for the exact expiry second.

Itemization

Sticky divers and lockdown beat the kite. Contest marks on your side; hold burst for the second the ult zone expires.
