Milio counters (Support)

Common role: Support

The best counter to Milio in Support is Taric: 54.2% win rate over 471 ranked games on patch 26.21.

A cozy fire enchanter who extends range and cleanses your CC.

What makes Milio dangerous

Milio buffs allies with bonus attack range and speed (W zone), pokes and knocks back with a rolling fireball (Q), shields with his passive warmth, and his ultimate heals AND removes all crowd control from nearby allies — your picks get unpicked.

How to counter Milio

• 1Chain your CC after his ult, not before — it cleanses everything at once.
• 2The Q fireball is slow — sidestep it and the poke lane disappears.
• 3Engage on the carry OUTSIDE his W range-buff zone.
• 4He has zero hard CC — hard engage goes through him.

What are Milio's weaknesses?

• ✓No hard CC at all — can't stop a committed dive.
• ✓The ult cleanse is one moment — stagger your CC chain.
• ✓Q is his only poke and it's slow.
• ✓Squishy and immobile when jumped.

Abilities & how to counter them

What each of Milio's abilities does — and how to play around it.

• P
  Fired Up!

Milio's abilities enchant allies on touch, making their next damage deal a burst of extra damage and burn the target.

Strong: allies he buffs enchant their next hit with burn and speed. Weak: passive chip — no direct counterplay, just sustain.

• Q
  Ultra Mega Fire Kick

Kick a ball that knocks back an enemy. The ball launches upward on hit and falls toward the enemy, damaging and slowing enemies in the area upon impact.

Strong: a knock-back fireball that bounces for AoE. Weak: slow and blockable — juke or hide behind a minion.

• W
  Cozy Campfire

Create an empowering zone that heals allies and increases attack range to those inside. The zone follows the ally nearest to the cast point.

Strong: a zone giving RANGE and attack speed to allies. Weak: kill or zone the carry OUT of the cozy campfire.

• E
  Warm Hugs

Milio tosses a shield to an ally, temporarily increasing their movement speed. This ability has 2 charges.

Strong: spammable shields with move speed. Weak: small per-cast — sustained DPS chews through them.

• R
  Breath of Life

Milio unleashes a wave of soothing flames that heal and remove crowd control effects from allies in range.

Strong: an AoE heal + FULL CC cleanse for allies around him. Weak: one moment — stagger your CC chain and the second wave sticks.

Itemization

Stagger CC around his ult and dive hard — he can't stop you, only patch damage. Anti-heal cuts the warmth.
