Bel'Veth counters (Jungle)

Common role: Jungle

The best counter to Bel'Veth in Jungle is Rammus: 53.6% win rate over 398 ranked games on patch 26.21.

A void empress who scales with kills into an unstoppable dash machine.

What makes Bel'Veth dangerous

Bel'Veth dashes in all four directions with rechargeable Q, knocks up (E slows... W knocks up), channels a damage-reducing storm (E), and her ultimate consumes void coral to grow permanently — true form grants huge attack speed, and Void Remora minions push lanes. Every takedown makes her permanently faster.

How to counter Bel'Veth

• 1Deny her early kills: her scaling is permanent — every takedown feeds forever.
• 2Her E massively reduces damage — stop hitting her during it, walk away.
• 3Watch the Q cooldowns: after a full dash rotation she's far less mobile.
• 4Kill the void remoras fast or they take your towers after objectives.

What are Bel'Veth's weaknesses?

• ✓Snowball-dependent: even scaling stalls if you deny takedowns.
• ✓No ranged threat and no hard engage from distance.
• ✓E is a stationary channel — disengage and reset the fight.
• ✓Squishy for a fighter until she stacks items and form.

Abilities & how to counter them

What each of Bel'Veth's abilities does — and how to play around it.

• P
  Death in Lavender

Bel'Veth gains permanent attack speed stacks after taking down large minions and monsters and champions. She also gains temporary bonus attack speed after using an ability.

Strong: permanent attack speed from every takedown — no cap. Weak: it NEEDS kills; a starved Bel'Veth stays slow forever.

• Q
  Void Surge

Bel'Veth dashes in a chosen direction and damages all enemies she passes through.

Strong: four-directional dashes that pass through minions and hit on the way. Weak: each direction has its own cooldown — after a full rotation she's stuck.

• W
  Above and Below

Bel'Veth slams her tail to the ground, damaging, knocking up, and slowing her enemies.

Strong: a knock-up that sets her Q reset and gank follow-up. Weak: a narrow telegraphed line — sidestep and her engage is gone.

• E
  Royal Maelstrom

Bel'Veth roots herself in place, channeling a storm of slashes around her that targets the lowest-health enemy and grants her lifesteal and damage reduction.

Strong: a channel that reduces incoming damage hugely and executes low targets. Weak: she's STATIONARY — walk away, reset, or drop hard CC right after.

• R
  Endless Banquet

Bel'Veth consumes Void coral remnants, transforming into her true form and increasing her max health, attack range, attack speed, and out-of-combat move speed. Consuming the Void coral remnants of a Void epic monster will grant her a longer ultimate duration, as well as the power to summon Void remora.

Strong: true form: max HP burst, bonus stats, and lane-pushing remoras. Weak: needs void coral from takedowns/monsters — starve her and the form is rare.

Itemization

Group early, deny skirmish kills, and disengage her E channel. Grievous vs her lifesteal spikes; peel her off carries — she must dive to function.
