What makes Kha'Zix dangerous

Kha'Zix deals massive bonus damage to isolated targets (no allies nearby), leaps in and out with his E, and his ultimate grants repeated stealth to reposition and reset. He evolves his abilities to specialize, and he deletes a lone carry in one combo while staying nearly untouchable.

How to play against Kha'Zix

• 1Stay grouped — his entire kit rewards catching you isolated. Standing next to an ally removes his bonus damage and, evolved, his stealth trigger.
• 2Buy a Control Ward and sweeper — his ultimate stealth is how he engages and escapes. Revealing him strips his safety.
• 3Peel with hard CC. Once he leaps in, a stun or root before he can E out catches the slippery assassin.
• 4Track his early jungle — like most assassins he wants to snowball. Warding and grouping through the mid-game denies his pick pattern.

• ✓Bonus damage requires you to be isolated — grouping shuts it off.
• ✓Squishy — hard CC and burst punish him after he leaps in.
• ✓Reveal/sweepers counter his stealth ultimate.

  Unseen Threat

  Nearby enemies that are Isolated from their allies are marked. Kha'Zix's abilities have interactions with Isolated targets.When Kha'Zix is not visible to the enemy team, he gains Unseen Threat, causing his next basic attack against an enemy champion to deal bonus magic damage and slow them for a few seconds.

  Strong: bonus damage and, evolved, stealth against isolated targets. Weak: stand next to an ally and both the bonus damage and stealth trigger vanish.

  Taste Their Fear

  Deals physical damage to the target. Damage increased on Isolated targets. If he chooses to Evolve Reaper Claws, this refunds a percent of it's cooldown against Isolated targets. Kha'Zix also gains increased range on his basic attacks and Taste Their Fear.

• W
  Void Spike

  Kha'Zix fires exploding spikes that deal physical damage to enemies hit. Kha'Zix is healed if he is also within the explosion radius. If he chooses to Evolve Spike Racks, Void Spike now fires three spikes in a cone, slow enemies hit, and reveals enemy champions hit for 2 seconds. Isolated targets are slowed for extra.

• E
  Leap

  Kha'Zix leaps to an area, dealing physical damage upon landing. If he chooses to Evolve Wings, Leap's range increases by 200 and the cooldown resets on champion kill or assist.

  Strong: leaps in and, evolved, back out — his engage and escape. Weak: CC him after he leaps in, before he can E out, to catch the assassin.

• R
  Void Assault

  Each rank allows Kha'Zix to evolve one of his abilities, giving it a unique additional effect. When activated, Kha'Zix becomes Invisible, triggering Unseen Threat and increasing Move Speed. If he chooses to Evolve Adaptive Cloaking, Void Assault gains increased Invisibility duration, and an additional use.

  Strong: repeated stealth to reposition and reset. Weak: Control Wards and sweepers reveal him and strip his safety.

Itemization

Kha'Zix is burst AD. Armor (Zhonya's on AP carries, Plated Steelcaps, Randuin's) and grouping beat him; a Control Ward denies his stealth. Never walk alone in the mid-game and he loses his whole gameplan.
