What makes Rumble dangerous

Rumble roasts you with a flamethrower (Q), shields and speeds up (W), slows with harpoons (E), and in "Danger Zone" (50-100 heat) everything hits harder. His ultimate drops a wall of missiles that zones or wins entire teamfights. He wins most melee trades with sustained burn.

How to play against Rumble

• 1Watch his heat bar: at 50+ his spells are empowered — trade when he's cold or overheated (silenced).
• 2Don't fight inside his ult — walk out of the missile line immediately.
• 3He's melee with short range: ranged tops poke him for free.
• 4MR items (Kaenic, Wit's End on fighters) gut his all-magic damage.

  Junkyard Titan

  Every spell Rumble casts gives him Heat. When he reaches 50% Heat he reaches Danger Zone, granting all his basic abilities bonus effects. When he reaches 100% Heat, he starts Overheating, gaining bonus Attack Speed and granting his basic attacks bonus damage, but making him unable to cast spells for a few seconds.

  Strong: 50-100 heat empowers everything; overheat adds bonus on-hit. Weak: overheated he's SILENCED for several seconds — that's your window.

  Flamespitter

  Rumble torches opponents in front of him, dealing magic damage in a cone for 3 seconds. While in Danger Zone this damage is increased.

  Strong: a cone flamethrower that wins most melee trades. Weak: short range and a long burn — back off and it ticks on air.

• W
  Scrap Shield

  Rumble pulls up a shield, protecting him from damage and granting him a quick burst of speed. While in Danger Zone, the shield strength and speed bonus is increased.

  Strong: a shield plus move speed for engaging or dodging trades. Weak: brief — bait it with a fake trade, then commit.

  Electro Harpoon

  Rumble launches a harpoon, electrocuting his target with magic damage, slowing their Move Speed, and reducing their Magic Resist. Rumble can carry 2 harpoons at a time. While in Danger Zone the damage and slow percentage is increased.

  Strong: harpoon slows stack and set up his flamethrower chase. Weak: dodgeable projectiles — juke them and his gap-close disappears.

  The Equalizer

  Rumble fires off a group of rockets, creating a wall of flames that damages and slows enemies.

  Strong: a wall of missiles that zones or wins whole teamfights. Weak: it's a LINE — walk perpendicular out of it immediately, never fight inside.
