Fiora counters (Top)

Common role: Top

The best counter to Fiora in Top is Malphite: 54.3% win rate over 2,109 ranked games on patch 26.21.

A dueling machine who parries your key spell and true-damages tanks to death.

What makes Fiora dangerous

Fiora's passive marks four vitals around your body that she dashes to for true damage and healing; her ultimate spawns them on demand for a burst-and-heal execute. Her W parries and stuns during any incoming CC or damage window. She is the premier 1v1 duelist and shreds any single target regardless of armor.

How to counter Fiora

• 1Bait her W parry before you commit CC or your big ability — if she parries it, she stuns you and wins the trade. Wait out her W (long cooldown), then engage.
• 2Deny her vitals: she must dash to the marks around your body. Fight with your back to a wall so she can't reach the vitals behind you.
• 3Her true damage ignores armor — don't try to out-tank her 1v1. Kite her, peel her off your carry, or bring her into a group fight where she can't isolate.
• 4Answer her split-push with numbers, not a solo duel — she wins almost every 1v1 in a side lane.

What are Fiora's weaknesses?

• ✓Squishy — burst and hard CC (chained past her W) delete her.
• ✓W parry is on a long cooldown; punish when it's down.
• ✓Weak if she can't reach your vitals (fight near walls).
• ✓Struggles against ranged pokes and disengage comps.

Abilities & how to counter them

What each of Fiora's abilities does — and how to play around it.

• P
  Duelist's Dance

Fiora has revealed a Vital on this Champion. If she hits the Vital, she restores Health and gains Move Speed.

Strong: vitals around your body deal true damage and heal her, ignoring armor. Weak: fight with your back to a wall so she can't reach the vitals behind you.

• Q
  Lunge

Fiora lunges in a direction and stabs a nearby enemy, dealing physical damage and applying on-hit effects.

• W
  Riposte

Fiora parries all incoming damage and disables for a short time, then stabs in a direction. This stab slows the first enemy champion hit, or stuns them if Fiora blocked an immobilizing effect with this ability.

Strong: parries and stuns during any incoming CC or big ability. Weak: a long cooldown — bait it out, then commit your CC/combo while it's down.

• E
  Bladework

Fiora has increased attack speed for the next two attacks. The first attack slows the target, and the second attack will critically strike.

• R
  Grand Challenge

Fiora reveals all four Vitals on an enemy champion and gains Move Speed while near them. If Fiora hits all four Vitals or if the target dies after she has hit at least one, Fiora and her allies in the area are healed over the next few seconds.

Strong: spawns all four vitals for a burst-and-heal execute. Weak: still needs to hit them — kite her or bring her into a group where she can't isolate.

Itemization

Fiora deals AD plus percent-health true damage, so armor alone won't save you — kite her, chain CC past her W parry, and use Grievous Wounds against her healing. Ranged champions should abuse her before item spikes.
